One of the world’s biggest software companies, OpenAI, has announced a massive upgrade to its ChatGPT tool.
With this update, users can now use their favorite apps—like Spotify, Canva, Coursera, Figma, and Zillow—directly inside ChatGPT.
This is the biggest upgrade so far, allowing people to do everything from listening to music to creating designs with the help of the AI chatbot.
OpenAI revealed this update at its DevDay event, where it also launched the new Apps SDK. This feature will let third-party developers connect their apps to ChatGPT.
With apps support, ChatGPT is no longer just a chatbot—it becomes a complete all-in-one assistant.
Easy Tasks with Simple Commands
The new upgrade makes daily tasks much easier, without needing to visit different websites or apps.
For example, users can give simple commands like “create a relaxing playlist on Spotify” or “design a poster on Canva.”
To use these features, users will only need to connect their app accounts with ChatGPT.
Within ChatGPT, users can create, preview, and edit Canva designs directly by typing commands. Figma can be used to create diagrams and layouts.
Zillow will help users search for properties, while Coursera will assist in finding study materials and online courses.
More Apps Coming Soon
According to OpenAI, this is just the start. ChatGPT will soon support more popular apps like Uber, DoorDash, Target, OpenTable, Peloton, Tripadvisor, and AllTrails.
This means users will be able to book cabs, order food, reserve tables, or even plan trips—all within ChatGPT.
By the end of the year, OpenAI will also open app submissions for developers, making ChatGPT an even more powerful platform.
