Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler start-up, Oben Electric, has recently launched its Roar electric motorcycle in Delhi.
The bike is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi price with state subsidy).
The first 100 customers in Delhi can avail a discount of Rs 40,000.
Oben Electric has also inaugurated its first showroom in Pitampura, Delhi.
Promotional Offers and Market Strategy
City customers can enjoy substantial discounts on the Oben Roar as part of a promotional offer in Delhi, making it more affordable than competitors like the Revolt RV400 and Hop Oxo.
However, this discount is for a limited time only.
The offer aims to reward early adopters and encourage more buyers to consider e-motorcycles.
Commenting on the price cut, Madhumita Agarwal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric, mentioned that the Oben Roar is completely designed, developed, and manufactured in India
The positive customer response in Delhi reflects its importance as a key market.
Building on their success in Bengaluru and other regions, the company aims to strengthen its position as a leader in India’s EV industry.
Specifications and Future Plans
The Oben Roar features an 8 kW electric motor, offering a range of 187 km on a single charge.
It can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 3 seconds and has a top speed of 100 kmph.
Oben Electric plans to make Delhi-NCR its next big market, with intentions to open 12 showroomsand service centers across the region next year.
Currently, the company operates in Bengaluru and has recently opened new showrooms in Pune, Maharashtra, and Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Oben Electric has a total of 8 operational showrooms and plans to expand to 50 outlets across 12 cities by the end of the year.
