If you want to use the same WhatsApp account on two smartphones at the same time, it is now possible.
Earlier, this was difficult because WhatsApp allowed the app to work on only one phone. But now, WhatsApp has launched a new feature that makes it much easier.
With the new Multi-Device feature, you can now use one WhatsApp account on up to four devices at the same time, including another smartphone. This means you are no longer limited to using WhatsApp on just one phone.
How to use one WhatsApp account on two phones?
You don’t need any tricks or third-party apps to do this. Just follow these simple steps:
Install WhatsApp on the second phone – Do not enter your phone number during setup.
Select “Link to Existing Account” – You’ll see this option on the welcome screen. Tap on it.
A QR code will appear – A QR code will be shown on this second phone’s screen.
Scan the QR code using your main phone – Open WhatsApp on the phone where your account is already active and:
Go to Settings
Tap on Linked Devices
Scan the QR code shown on the second phone
That’s it! Your WhatsApp will now be active on both phones. All your chats, messages, and media will be synced across both devices.
What to do if the QR code option doesn’t appear?
If you can’t see the QR code option, you can also try using WhatsApp Web. This lets you open WhatsApp in a browser on the second phone.
Is your data safe?
Yes, completely! WhatsApp’s Multi-Device feature supports End-to-End Encryption, so all your chats and calls remain private and secure—even if you’re using one phone or four.
