Now update Aadhaar anytime, anywhere with new Mobile app

The Indian government is preparing to launch a new e-Aadhaar mobile app that will make updating Aadhaar details much easier.

Developed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the app aims to simplify the process of updating information like name, address, and date of birth.

Currently, people have to book slots and wait in long queues at Aadhaar service centers for such updates.

With the new app, most updates can be done from home itself.

Reports suggest that this app may be launched soon, and it will be very simple to use—even without a physical Aadhaar card.

All Aadhaar-related services will be available on a single digital platform, saving both time and effort.

Additionally, users will be able to track the status of their updates easily.

Advanced Security with AI and Face ID

To make the service more secure, the app will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Face ID technology.

This will make user authentication faster, safer, and reduce the risk of fraud.

In most cases, people will no longer need to visit Aadhaar centers.

A visit will only be required for biometric verification like fingerprints and iris scans.

This will help cut down paperwork and streamline the process.

Automatic Document Retrieval

Another special feature of the e-Aadhaar app is its ability to automatically fetch data from government sources.

This includes documents such as:

Birth certificates

PAN cards

Passports

Driving licenses

Ration cards

MGNREGA records

Electricity bills (for address verification)

With this feature, users won’t need to submit multiple physical documents, making Aadhaar updates hassle-free and efficient.
