WhatsApp is constantly adding new features, and now another useful option has been introduced.
This new feature will allow users to share status updates directly from other apps.
The update was first spotted by WABetaInfo in WhatsApp Beta for iOS version 25.22.83, available on the App Store. WABetaInfo also shared a screenshot of how the feature looks.
How the Feature Works
According to the screenshot, WhatsApp has added the ability to share photos and videos as status updates using the iOS share sheet.
Now, whenever you share media from any app, you will see the “My Status” option directly in the share menu.
This makes it possible to post status updates without opening WhatsApp separately.
Earlier, users had to first choose WhatsApp as the app to share media, and then manually set it as a status.
With this update, the process becomes much simpler—you can share photos and videos instantly as status updates.
You can also send them to individual contacts or groups directly from the share sheet.
Update Availability
This new feature is currently being rolled out gradually to all Apple users. If you don’t see it yet on your iPhone, you may get it in the coming days as WhatsApp expands the update.
