Good news for Delhi Metro users! Delhi Metro Rail, one of the safest and most widely used transport systems in Delhi NCR, can now be accessed more easily.
You can now book Delhi Metro tickets directly through the ixigo Trains app.
This new feature has been launched by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in partnership with Le Travenues Technology (ixigo) and the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).
Benefits for Train Passengers
This update is especially helpful for railway passengers arriving in Delhi NCR.
Now, instead of waiting in long lines at metro stations, they can book metro tickets instantly using the ixigo app.
The tickets come with a QR code, and payment can also be made through the app.
This will help save time and make traveling more convenient.
With this addition, ixigo users can now book train, bus, flight, hotel, and metro tickets all in one place.
Special Cashback Offer
To celebrate the launch, ixigo is offering a special cashback offer.
First-time users who book a Delhi Metro ticket on the ixigo Trains app will get 100% cashback up to ₹50 in the form of ixigo money.
This offer is only valid for tickets booked between 9 AM to 11 AM.
Delhi Metro – A Massive Network
The Delhi Metro network covers around 400 kilometers across Delhi and the NCR.
With more than a dozen metro lines, it is the largest and busiest metro system in India.
In August last year, DMRC hit a record of over 81 lakh (8.1 million) passengers in a single day.
