Now apply for Government Documents on WhatsApp

Now, whether it is getting a driving license or a marriage certificate, you won’t need to visit any office.

The Delhi government is launching a new initiative called “WhatsApp Governance”, through which people will be able to apply for important government documents right from home.

This will save time, reduce long queues, and make the process hassle-free.

Documents Available on WhatsApp

Under WhatsApp Governance, many services like marriage certificate, caste certificate, birth certificate, and driving license will be covered.

Citizens will be able to apply, verify, and even download these documents directly from WhatsApp.

The process will be faster and will help reduce unnecessary visits to government departments, while also keeping a check on corruption.

How the Service Will Work

The platform will have an AI-powered chatbot that supports both Hindi and English. It will guide users, provide department-related information, and automate the services.

In the beginning, around 25–30 services will be added, and later more departments will join.

The platform will also be connected to Delhi’s e-district portal for better coordination.

How to Use the Chatbot

The service is still under development, and the launch date has not yet been announced.

Once launched, users will simply need to send a “Hi” message to the WhatsApp chatbot.

They will then receive a form, which they can fill, attach the required documents, and upload directly on WhatsApp. This makes the entire application process quick and easy.
