Nothing has officially introduced its new operating system, Nothing OS 4.0, packed with major upgrades and new features.
The company says this version is faster, smoother, and more intuitive, with a redesigned lock screen, an AI usage dashboard, and several performance improvements.
Key Features of Nothing OS 4.0
Ultra Dark Mode: Improves the signature dark look of Nothing OS, reduces eye strain in low light, and helps save battery.
Pop-up View: Allows two floating apps to run at the same time for easy multitasking.
You can minimize an app by swiping from the bottom or expand it to full screen by dragging it down.
Enhanced Privacy and Control: Comes with AI (LLM) status hints and an AI usage dashboard.
Users can track daily and weekly usage, see which AI models are active, and have more control over their data.
Performance and Stability: Apps launch faster and run more smoothly, making the system more responsive and stable.
Camera and Gallery Upgrades: New camera controls, creative presets, and a simpler layout make capturing and viewing photos easier and more enjoyable.
Improved Connectivity and Display: A more responsive lock screen, refined always-on display (AOD), better brightness controls, and enhanced Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections.
Even small details like faster Bluetooth recording access have been improved.
Availability
Currently, Nothing OS 4.0 is in beta testing, but the company has confirmed it will roll out to all users soon.
