New Skoda Kushaq launched in India

Skoda Auto India has officially launched the new Kushaq SUV in India and has also started pre-bookings.

Customers can book the SUV by paying an amount of ₹15,000. According to the company, deliveries of the new Kushaq will begin by the end of March 2026.

The Kushaq was the first model introduced under Skoda’s India 2.0 strategy. In its new avatar, the SUV has become more feature-rich, safer, and technologically advanced.

Skoda has focused on design, driving comfort, safety, and easy ownership with this updated version.

Modern Solid Design and New Colours

The new Kushaq follows Skoda’s Modern Solid design philosophy, giving it a more bold and premium look. Design updates include a new front grille with chrome ribs, an illuminated light band, new LED headlights, and LED fog lamps.

At the rear, the SUV gets connected LED taillights and an illuminated Skoda logo. Alloy wheels are now standard across all variants.

The SUV is available in several colour options, including new shades like Shimla Green, Steel Grey, and Cherry Red. Other colours include Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Lava Blue, and Deep Black.

Engine Options and Driving Capability

The new Kushaq is designed to be easy and comfortable to drive. It comes with a segment-first 8-speed automatic gearbox and a 6-speed manual gearbox. Engine options include a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine that produces 115 PS of power

and 178 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine that delivers 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The 1.5 TSI engine is also available with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

The SUV features Active Cylinder Technology for better efficiency. Disc brakes are now provided on all four wheels. With a ground clearance of 188 mm, the Kushaq is suitable for both highways and rough roads.

Premium Interior and Boot Space

The interior of the new Kushaq has been upgraded to offer more comfort and premium features. For the first time, it gets a panoramic sunroof.

Other highlights include a segment-first rear seat massage function, ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, dual-colour ambient lighting, and Climatronic automatic air conditioning as standard.

The SUV offers 491 litres of boot space, which can be expanded up to 1,405 litres. It also comes with a digital instrument display. The top variant gets a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, while mid-variants feature an 8-inch digital cockpit.

Google-Powered Smart Technology

The new Kushaq is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also includes a dedicated Google Automotive AI agent that can control music, phone calls,

and air conditioning using voice commands. The system understands Indian English accents and provides real-time news and information.

Strong Focus on Safety

Safety remains a key strength of Skoda vehicles. The new Kushaq has received a 5-star rating from Global NCAP. All variants come with six airbags and more than 25 safety features as standard.

Top variants offer over 40 safety features, including rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper, defogger, and an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror (IRVM).

Skoda Super Care Package

Skoda has also made ownership easier with the Super Care package. This includes a 4-year or 1,00,000 km standard warranty, 4 years of roadside assistance, and 4 free labour services valid for 2 years or 30,000 km.

Customers can also extend the warranty up to 6 years. Additional benefits include a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty and a 3-year paint warranty.

The new Skoda Kushaq offers a strong overall package for buyers looking for a European driving experience, advanced automatic gearbox options, segment-first features, and high safety standards.
