UPI Circle: Digital Payments for Non-Bank Users

UPI Circle is a new feature from NPCI that allows users without a bank account to make digital payments.

To use UPI Circle, these users need to have someone in their circle with a UPI account.

This feature is especially useful for elderly individuals who might not have a bank account or Google Pay linked account.

In this setup, the primary user will need to approve each transaction. There will also be an option for full delegation, where users can set a monthly limit of up to ₹15,000.

The UPI Voucher eRupi feature, which was originally launched in 2021, is now available on Google Pay.

This feature allows users to generate prepaid vouchers for digital payments even if their bank account is not linked to UPI.

Google has partnered with NPCI and the Department of Financial Services to bring this feature to its users.

The biller will need to generate this QR code for customers. Additionally, Google Pay will show details of prepaid utility bills and payment options when customer data is added.
