and price. In this growing segment, Haryana’s electric vehicle startup, Zelio eBikes, has introduced the X Men electric scooter. This is a low-speed e-scooter available in 5 different variants with various battery options.
Battery Options and Range
The Zelio X Men comes with five battery pack options: 1.92kWh, 2.3kWh, 2.736kWh, 2.28kWh (all lead acid), and 1.92kWh (lithium-ion).
The entry-level variant offers a range of 55 to 60 kilometers and takes 7-8 hours to fully charge. The 2.3kWh variant provides a range of 70 kilometers.
The top-end variant, with a 1.9kWh battery, offers a range of 80 kilometers and takes 4 hours to charge. All models have a top speed of 25 km/h.
Features and Specifications
Despite being a low-speed scooter, the Zelio X Men is packed with impressive features. It includes an anti-theft alarm, digital display, and central locking.
For braking, it has front disc brakes on alloy wheels and rear drum brakes. Additional features include reverse mode
and a USB charging port. This scooter is an excellent option for students and daily commuters.
No License or Registration Needed
The X Men electric scooter has a 12-inch front wheel and a 10-inch rear wheel. It features telescopic forks for front suspension and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Available in four colors—black, white, sea green, and red—the scooter weighs 80 kg.
A notable advantage is that, due to its low speed, no driving license or RTO registration is required. The starting ex-showroom price is Rs 64,543.
