New Cars and SUVs Coming Soon in India

The Indian car market is preparing for the launch of several new models in the coming months. Most of these upcoming vehicles will be SUVs from well-known brands.

Some of them are completely new models, while others are updated versions of existing cars. Below is a detailed look at these upcoming vehicles.

Mahindra XUV 7XO

Mahindra will launch the XUV 7XO, a facelifted version of the XUV700, on January 5, 2026.

The SUV will come with major design updates such as dual-pod LED headlights, inverted L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs), XEV 9S-inspired taillights, and a black grille. Inside, it is expected to feature a modern triple-screen cabin setup.

The XUV 7XO will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Both engines will be offered with 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. An all-wheel-drive (AWD) option is also expected.

Nissan Tekton

Nissan has confirmed that the Tekton SUV will arrive in India in early 2026, with a full launch planned later in the year. The SUV will be based on the next-generation Renault Duster platform and will compete with the Hyundai Creta.

In terms of design, the Tekton will feature Patrol-inspired LED lighting and chrome highlights. Nissan will reveal more details about the SUV closer to its launch.

New Generation Kia Seltos

Kia has introduced the new-generation Seltos with several upgrades. The SUV gets refreshed styling, larger dimensions, a redesigned interior, dual 12.3-inch screens, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof, along with many other new features.

It will be offered with 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. These engines are paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.

Pricing will be announced on January 2, 2026, and it is expected to start at around ₹12 lakh.

New Renault Duster

The new Renault Duster is set to launch in early 2026 on an all-new platform. The SUV will feature bold and rugged styling, similar to a ladder-frame design. It is expected to come with hybrid and electric variants, along with strong off-road capabilities.

The new Duster has been spotted testing multiple times in India and is already available in international markets.

It is likely to be priced below ₹15 lakh and will target adventure SUV buyers with features like flexible seating options and multiple terrain modes.

Maruti Suzuki eVitara

Maruti Suzuki is entering the electric vehicle segment with the launch of the eVitara, its first electric SUV in India.

The vehicle has already been showcased and will be available with front-wheel-drive (FWD) options.

The eVitara will offer 49kWh and 61kWh battery packs. With the larger battery, Maruti claims an ARAI-certified range of 543 km.

The electric SUV will be sold in three variants, with the base Delta variant featuring the 49kWh battery pack.
