WhatsApp has introduced an exciting new feature for its users called Camera Effects. WABetaInfo shared this information in a post on X.
This new feature allows users to apply different effects to the WhatsApp camera, enhancing their photos and videos.
Recently, the company also added AR features for call effects and filters in the beta version.
The Camera Effects feature is currently available in the WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.24.20.20, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
A screenshot showing this feature has also been shared by WABetaInfo.
New Filter Button and Background Changing Options
According to the screenshot, a new filter button has been added to the camera interface. This button allows users to easily apply various filters to their photos and videos.
Initially, this feature was only available for video calls, but it is now accessible for the camera as well.
Users can toggle through multiple filters and make real-time adjustments before capturing their images or videos.
Additionally, WhatsApp offers a skin smoothing filter that helps manage uneven skin tones, making it particularly useful for selfies.
A background changing feature has also been integrated, which lets users replace their actual background with a blurred effect or a virtual scene. This feature was first introduced for video calls.
Furthermore, a low-light mode has been added, allowing users to capture brighter photos and videos even in dim lighting.
Currently, this feature is available for beta users. Once testing is complete, a stable version will be released for all users worldwide.
