Vietnamese EV company VinFast is getting ready to expand its presence in India.
The company has confirmed that its new 7-seater electric car, MPV 7, will launch on April 15, 2026.
Pre-bookings have already started with a token amount of ₹21,000, and deliveries are expected soon after the launch.
This model will be aimed at private buyers, while a separate version called “Limo Green” will be introduced for fleet and commercial use.
Size and Positioning in the Market
The VinFast MPV 7 will join the brand’s existing lineup, including the VinFast VF 6 and VinFast VF 7.
In terms of size, it is quite large.
The MPV measures 4,740 mm in length with a 2,840 mm wheelbase, making it one of the longest vehicles in its segment.
It is even longer than popular models like the Kia Carens Clavis EV, Mahindra XEV 9S, and Toyota Innova Crysta.
This makes it a strong option in the growing three-row electric “people mover” segment.
Powerful Performance and Long Range
The MPV 7 comes with a front-wheel drive electric motor that produces 201 bhp and 280 Nm torque.
It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 10 seconds, which is quite impressive for a large MPV.
The car is powered by a 60 kWh battery pack and is expected to deliver a range of over 500 km on a single charge.
It will also support fast charging, making it more convenient for long-distance travel.
Interior, Features and Comfort
VinFast has packed the MPV 7 with modern features to enhance comfort and usability.
On the outside, it will get LED headlamps, connected tail lights, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin has an all-black theme with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other features include:
Multi-function steering wheel
Leatherette seats
USB Type-A and Type-C ports (front and rear)
Single-zone climate control
Adjustable and reclining seats
AC vents for second and third rows
Cruise control and cupholders for rear passengers
Dealership Expansion and Future Plans
Along with the MPV 7, VinFast will also introduce the Limo Green variant for commercial use shortly after the main launch.
The company already has over 50 dealerships and 130 workshops across India.
It plans to expand this network to 75 dealerships by the end of the year.
This move shows VinFast’s strong commitment to growing in the Indian EV market.
What This Means for Buyers
The launch of the MPV 7 adds a new option for buyers looking for a spacious, electric 7-seater vehicle.
With its long range, modern features, and competitive size, it could become a strong competitor in the segment.
