Netflix has announced that it will no longer support certain older iPhones and iPads. The app will soon require iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 to run.
This means that devices like the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, the first-generation iPad Pro, and the 5th generation iPad will not be able to receive updates.
While the app will still work on these devices, users will miss out on new features and improvements.
No New Features for Older Devices
If you’re using an older iPhone or iPad, you can continue to watch Netflix. However, you won’t receive any new features, bug fixes, or updates. You can still access Netflix via a web browser for now if needed.
Netflix’s Focus on New Software
Netflix made this decision to improve its user experience by focusing on newer software.
Although Netflix hasn’t specified an exact date, the end of support for older devices is expected to happen soon. If you want to enjoy the latest features, you’ll need to update your device.
