According to recent reports, Netflix plans to end support for devices running iOS 16.
The latest Netflix app update available on the Apple App Store will no longer support devices with iOS 16. Netflix has already warned users about this change.

Netflix has announced: “We have updated the Netflix app! To use the latest version, you must install iOS 17 or later.”
So, if you’re thinking about buying an old iPhone or Apple device, be cautious about this compatibility issue.
A report from 9To5 Mac suggests that while you can still use Netflix on devices running iOS 16 for now, this will change soon.
This is not the first time Netflix has stopped supporting older devices; they previously ended support for the third-generation Apple TV.
Devices Losing Netflix Support
The following Apple devices will no longer support Netflix with the new update:
1) iPhone 8
2) iPhone 8 Plus
3) iPhone X
4) iPad 5 (2017 edition)
5) First-generation iPad Pro
6) If you use any of these devices, you may want to consider upgrading.
As more applications start dropping support for older operating systems, moving to a device running at least iOS 17 will be necessary to keep enjoying Netflix and other apps.
Apple recently launched the iPhone 16 series, which comes with iOS 18, so upgrading to a newer model could be a good idea.
