Bengaluru-based startup NeoSapien has patented its flagship device, Neo 1, calling it India’s first AI-native wearable.
The patent covers its adaptive AI coaching system, which turns long-term goals into small, real-time tasks.
Founded in 2024 by brothers Dhananjay Yadav and Aryan Yadav, NeoSapien aims to build a “second brain” using hardware-powered AI.
With this patent, the startup positions itself as an early innovator in India’s AI wearable space.
What Is Neo 1 and How Does It Work?
Neo 1 is a pendant-style wearable designed to quietly fit into daily life.
It captures conversations and actions, then organizes them using AI.
The device can transcribe conversations, create summaries, and answer questions through the Neo AI bot.
NeoSapien calls this feature “your own Infinite Memory,” as it helps users recall important moments and insights.
Neo 1 supports real-time audio capture up to two meters, analyzes emotions to understand interactions, and provides contextual highlights. It supports more than 100 Indian and global languages.
Privacy, Battery, and Device Limitations
Neo 1 runs on NeoSapien’s Second Brain OS and focuses strongly on privacy.
It is ISO 27001 certified, and audio is not stored long-term after processing.
The device is ultra-light, pairs with both Android and iOS, and fully charges in under three hours. Battery life lasts 2 to 3 days on a single charge.
However, it requires an internet connection through a paired smartphone and is not water-resistant, which may limit outdoor or fitness use.
Pricing, Expansion Plans, and Market Growth
Neo 1 is priced at ₹11,999 in India and is available in Black, Gunmetal, Copper, and Silver. The device ships within 1–2 business days across India.
NeoSapien plans to expand its ecosystem to include smart glasses, rings, and a NeoCore SDK for businesses.
The company has already partnered with 20+ B2B enterprises and deployed 15,000 devices in corporate environments.
Funding and the Road Ahead
NeoSapien has raised $2 million (₹18 crore) in seed funding from Merak Ventures, with backing from well-known investors like Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, and Aprameya Radhakrishna.
It also secured ₹80 lakhs on Shark Tank India Season 4, increasing public visibility.
While early feedback is positive, Neo 1 is still new, and its large-scale real-world performance will be tested over time.
Still, NeoSapien’s journey reflects India’s growing role in hardware-driven AI innovation.
Neo 1 could be an early step toward a future where AI helps humans remember, reflect, and act smarter every day.
