Narendra Modi Releases 17th Installment of PM Kisan Yojana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently launched the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana in Varanasi.

This initiative resulted in the transfer of Rs 20,000 crore to the bank accounts of approximately 9.26 crore farmers across the country.

The PM Kisan Yojana provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year to farmers in three installments of Rs 2,000 each.

PM Kisan Yojana: World’s Largest Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana) stands as one of the largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes globally.

It aims to provide substantial financial benefits to crores of farmers in India. Farmers utilize this money for various agricultural activities, thereby boosting their productivity and income.

Distribution of Certificates to Krishi Sakhis

During the event, Prime Minister Modi also honored Krishi Sakhis, who are trained as para extension workers, by distributing certificates to over 30,000 self-help groups.

These Krishi Sakhis play a crucial role in assisting farmers with agricultural practices and knowledge dissemination.

For checking the status of PM Kisan Yojana payments, farmers can visit the official website https://pmkisan.gov.in/ and follow these steps:

1) Click on the relevant link and enter your registration number or Aadhaar number.

2) Complete the captcha verification.

3) Click on ‘Get Status’ to view installment-related details on your screen.

Alternatively, farmers can use the PM Kisan mobile app, available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, to check their payment status.

Simply enter your registration number or Aadhaar number, validate with OTP, and navigate to ‘Beneficiary Status’ for real-time updates.
