Mumbai Police on High Alert After Threat of 34 ‘Human Bombs’: Full Story

Mumbai Police have heightened security and increased vigilance across the city after receiving a serious threat.

The caller claimed that 34 vehicles carrying “human bombs” loaded with 400 kg of RDX explosives were planted in different locations, warning of blasts strong enough to “shake the entire city.”

The threat reportedly came from an organization named Lashkar-e-Jihadi on the eve of Anant Chaturdashi, a time when millions gather for Ganesh idol immersion events starting Friday.

Recent Bomb Hoax Incidents in Mumbai

This is not the first bomb scare in Mumbai recently. On July 26, a bomb threat was made targeting the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT).

Following a phone call warning, Mumbai Police and Railway Police conducted thorough searches but found no explosives.

Bomb Hoax Incidents in Ahmedabad

Similarly, on July 22, Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport received a hoax bomb threat via email.

The airport’s Bomb Threat Assessment Committee was activated, and the CISF Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad carried out detailed inspections but found nothing suspicious.

The spokesperson said the threat was non-specific, and all standard security protocols were followed during the checks.

Bomb Hoax Incidents in Delhi

Earlier, on June 27, a false bomb threat at Terminal 3 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport caused an emergency response.

A flight crew member found a threatening note on board early morning. After a thorough search, the Delhi Fire Service confirmed the threat was a hoax.

Authorities continue to remain vigilant following these incidents to ensure public safety, especially during major festivals and crowded events.
