Women enrolled under Maharashtra’s Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana now have more time to fix e-KYC errors.
The state government has extended the deadline to March 31, giving beneficiaries another chance to correct mistakes that may be stopping their monthly payments.
Under this scheme, eligible women receive Rs 1,500 per month to support financial independence, better nutrition, and improved decision-making power within families.
The government has also withdrawn its earlier plan to physically verify ineligible beneficiaries.
Why Many Women Were Not Receiving Payments
According to officials, several women faced payment delays because they selected incorrect details during the e-KYC process.
Some completed e-KYC but still did not receive money due to small errors in their information.
Women and Child Welfare Minister Aditi Tatkare said that beneficiaries who have completed e-KYC but are yet to receive payments are being given another opportunity to correct their details.
This move is expected to clear pending installments and ensure eligible women receive their benefits without further delay.
What Is the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana?
Launched in 2024, the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is a flagship scheme of the Maharashtra government.
