Motorrad’s launched BMW M 1000 RR with 306 kmph (Check Price)

BMW Motorrad has introduced the M 1000 RR motorcycle in India, with a starting price of Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The brand has also unveiled the Competition variant of the bike, priced at Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bookings for both models are now open.

The M 1000 RR is a high-performance version of the S 1000 RR and proudly carries the prestigious ‘M’ badge.

Design:

The front of the flagship motorcycle showcases newly designed carbon fiber winglets, which enhance the downforce on the front wheel while cornering.

These winglets provide an impressive 6.3kg of downforce, and at a speed of 300 kmph, they generate 22.6 kg of downforce.

Engine and Performance:

Powering the M 1000 RR is a 999 cc four-cylinder engine that features water and oil cooling. It boasts four titanium valves per cylinder and incorporates BMW ShiftCam technology.

With this setup, the engine delivers a formidable 209 bhp of power at 14,500 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm.

The motorcycle comes with a 6-speed gearbox and can achieve a top speed of 306 kmph.

It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just around 3.1 seconds.

Brakes and Suspension:

The M 1000 RR is equipped with 45 mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock suspension that can be adjusted for compression and rebound.

Its swingarm is constructed using lightweight aluminum, and it boasts 17-inch carbon wheels. The front tire measures 120/70 in size, while the rear tire is 200/55.

Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm twin disc at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear.

The motorcycle offers multiple ABS modes and riding modes for enhanced safety and control.

Features:

The M 1000 RR comes loaded with various features, including launch control, wheelie control, slide control,

dynamic brake control, shift assist pro, a 6.5-inch TFT screen, LED lighting, heated grips, cruise control, and traction control.

M Competition Package:

For enthusiasts seeking even more performance, BMW offers the M Competition package.

It includes an M GPS lap trigger, M aero wheel covers, a lighter and maintenance-free anodized rear-wheel swinging arm, and a DLC-coated M endurance chain.

Additionally, there is also a Carbon Package available, featuring high-quality Visible Carbon and Clear Coat components,

as well as an M Billet Pack, which includes a 150 gram lighter M Footrest and a Carbon Passenger Seat Cover or Passenger Package.
