The Ministry of Transport (MoRTH) has announced a new rule for Driving License (DL) and Vehicle Registration (RC) holders. From now on, it is mandatory to update your mobile number.
The Ministry explained that updating your number ensures you receive important vehicle and license-related information on time and helps avoid errors or problems.
The best part: you no longer need to visit the RTO office—this can be done from home using a mobile phone or computer.
What You Need to Update Your Mobile Number
To update your number on the Parivahan and Sarthi portals, you’ll need:
Vehicle registration number and registration date

Date of birth of the license holder
Without these details, the application cannot be submitted.
