Meta has introduced a major update to the Facebook app, making it cleaner, smarter, and more like Instagram in terms of design.

The goal is simple: help users stay connected with the people and content they care about in an easier and more enjoyable way.

The new update includes a redesigned Feed, better navigation, and a more powerful search system.

Smarter Feed and Easier Navigation

Facebook’s Feed now looks more organized and visual.

Multiple posts are arranged in a neat grid, making photos and videos easier to view.

You can now double-tap a photo to like it, just like on Instagram. Content also opens in full-screen mode, offering a more immersive experience.

The navigation bar has been refreshed too.

Important features like Reels, Friends, Marketplace, and Profile are now placed prominently for quick access.

Notifications and menus have been cleaned up to make the app feel smoother and more modern.

Better Search and Simpler Content Creation

Facebook’s search experience has received a significant upgrade. Search results now appear in a visually appealing grid layout.

The platform is also testing a full-screen viewer so users can explore new content without losing their place.

Users can give feedback on posts and Reels to make their Feed more personalized.

Creating content has become simpler as well.

Features like adding music, tagging friends, and using colorful backgrounds are now easier to find.

Audience controls and cross-posting settings are clearly displayed.

Commenting across Feeds, Groups, and Reels has been improved with better reply options, pin tools, and visible community badges.

Group admins get more tools to manage discussions, and users can report irrelevant comments anonymously.

Upgraded Profile Experience

Facebook Profiles have also been enhanced.

Users can now discover potential friends based on shared hobbies, travel plans, and personal interests.

You also get more control over your Profile updates — you can choose who sees them and whether they appear in the Feed at all.
