Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the AMG CLE 53 Coupe, priced at Rs 1.35 crore (ex-showroom).
This makes it Rs 20 lakh more expensive than the CLE 300 Cabriolet. With this launch, the AMG range in India now includes 10 models.
Bold and Sporty Exterior Design
At the front, the CLE 53 features the iconic Panamericana grille, AMG-specific bumper with large air intakes, and digital LED headlamps with eyebrow-style DRLs. Gloss black accents enhance its aggressive stance.
The side profile shows off its coupe DNA, with a long bonnet, sloping roofline, and frameless doors.
Standard 19-inch AMG alloys and optional 20-inch wheels, along with gloss-black side fins, add to its athletic look.
At the rear, you get a ducktail spoiler, connected slim tail lamps, quad exhausts, and a gloss-black diffuser, completing the sporty appearance.
Premium AMG Interior Features
Inside, the CLE 53 Coupe builds on the CLE 300’s cabin but includes several AMG-specific enhancements:
Flat-bottom Alcantara steering wheel with red stitching
64-colour ambient lighting
Burmester audio system
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Powered seats with memory function
Wireless phone charging
Head-up display
The twin-screen setup includes a 12.3-inch digital driver display and an 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Impressive Engine and Performance
Under the hood is a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, delivering:
449hp power
560Nm torque (+40Nm with Overboost)
It’s paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and Mercedes’ 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system, helping the coupe accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.
Top speed is 250 km/h, extendable to 270 km/h with the AMG Performance Package.
How It Compares to the BMW M2
The BMW M2, priced at Rs 1.03 crore, delivers 460hp and 550Nm, making it a close rival. However, the AMG CLE 53 Coupe costs Rs 32 lakh more, offering a different mix of luxury and performance.
