Good news for rail passengers! Indian Railways is preparing to start a new MEMU train service between Gwalior and Ruthiyai via Shivpuri and Guna.
Most of the preparations for this project are now complete.
Even the train racks are ready, which means the service could start soon.
What Is Causing the Delay?
Despite almost everything being ready, one major problem is still holding things back.
There is not enough space in the pit line to park the train racks.
This is an important requirement before starting operations, and the lack of space has become a key hurdle.
Railways Working on a Solution
To solve this issue, the Railways has proposed building an overhead electric (OHE) line in the yard.
Officials say that once this proposal gets approval, the parking problem will be resolved.
After that, the path will be clear to start the train service without delays.
Final Steps Underway
Railway officials are now working quickly to complete the remaining formalities.
If everything goes as planned, passengers traveling on this route can soon get a new and convenient MEMU train option.
This new service is expected to improve connectivity and make daily travel easier for many people in the region.
