Maruti Suzuki India is offering a significant discount on its offroad SUV, Jimny, throughout September.
Customers can enjoy benefits of up to ₹2.50 lakh if they purchase the SUV this month.
However, this discount is available only for customers who opt for Maruti Suzuki Smart Finance (MSSF) services.
Jimny’s sales have been lower than expected, prompting the company to offer these large discounts to boost sales. The discount is being offered on two variants: Alpha and Zeta.
Discounts on Jimny Variants
In September 2024, the Jimny Alpha variant comes with a discount of ₹2.50 lakh.
Meanwhile, the Zeta variant is being offered at a discount of ₹1.95 lakh, an increase of ₹45,000 compared to last month’s offer.
Jimny competes directly with Mahindra Thar in the Indian market, and the recent launch of the 5-door Thar Rocks adds more competition.
Jimny Features and Specifications
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder K15B mild-hybrid petrol engine, delivering 105 hp of maximum power
and 134 Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
Key features include electrically adjustable ORVMs, front and rear wipers with washer, auto up/down driver-side power window with pinch guard, reclinable front seats,
and a multifunctional steering wheel with mounted controls.
The SUV also has a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and steel wheels.
In the Alpha grade, additional features include alloy wheels, body-colored door handles, LED auto headlamps with washer, push-button engine start/stop, cruise control,
leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, and a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Arkamys surround sound.
Safety Features of Jimny
For safety, the Jimny is equipped with dual front airbags, side and curtain airbags, a brake limited-slip differential, anti-lock brakes (ABS) with EBD, electronic stability program (ESP),
hill hold and descent control, reverse parking camera, side-impact door beams, engine immobilizer, and three-point emergency locking retractor seatbelts.
