Maruti Increases Price of its Alto K10 (New Price)

The price of the Maruti Alto K10 has gone up recently. The cost of this 5-seater car has increased by Rs 6,000 to Rs 16,000.

The starting price has also risen by Rs 14,000. Previously, the ex-showroom price started at Rs 4.09 lakh, but now it begins at Rs 4.23 lakh. This price hike is due to the significant updates introduced in the car.

Key Safety Upgrades in the Maruti Alto K10

One of the major updates in the Maruti Alto K10 is the addition of new safety features.

The car now comes with 6 airbags, which is a significant improvement from the previous version that only offered front dual airbags.

In addition to the airbags, the car includes other important features such as rear parking sensors, rear seat belts for passengers, electronic stability program, anti-lock braking system, and anti-brake force distribution.

Engine and Performance

There have been no mechanical changes to the engine of the Maruti Alto K10. The car continues to be equipped with a 998 cc K10C petrol engine.

This engine produces 49 kW of power at 5,500 rpm and 89 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Alto K10 has a fuel tank capacity of 27 liters and is available in both petrol and CNG variants.

Maruti Alto’s Strong Sales in India

Launched in India in 2000, the Maruti Alto has been a popular choice among buyers. Over 46 lakh units of the car have been sold in the country.

According to Partho Banerjee, a marketing and sales executive for Maruti, “74 percent of Alto buyers are first-time car owners.”

With the new safety upgrades, the Maruti Alto continues to be one of the most affordable and safest options for Indian buyers.
