Chrome users in India are facing a serious security threat, according to a recent alert from the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In).
The warning, issued on October 30, 2025, highlights multiple vulnerabilities in Google Chrome that could put millions of users at risk.
CERT-In explained that a remote attacker could exploit these weaknesses by convincing users to visit a specially crafted webpage.
The vulnerabilities affect core components of Chrome, including V8, Extensions, Autofill, Media, Omnibox, Fullscreen UI, and WebXR.

The security issue affects Chrome users on Windows, MacOS, and Linux, specifically the following versions:
Linux: Versions prior to 142.0.7444.59
Windows & Mac: Versions prior to 142.0.7444.59/60
Mac: Versions prior to 142.0.7444.60
