Many major financial changes are set to begin in June 2025 that could affect your daily life. Whether you use a credit card, invest in FDs, or have an EPF account, you should stay updated.

Here’s a quick look at the changes that will take effect in June and the key dates you need to remember.

1. Launch of EPFO 3.0

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is rolling out its upgraded system—EPFO 3.0—in June 2025.

This version will make PF withdrawal, KYC updates, and claim processing faster and easier.

A new ATM-like card feature is also expected, which will allow easy access to EPF funds—similar to how you use your bank card.

2. HDFC Bank’s New Lounge Access Policy

From June 10, 2025, HDFC Bank will change the airport lounge access rules for Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus credit card users.

Direct card swipes at lounges will no longer work.

Access will now depend on whether you meet quarterly spending limits.

This change is aimed at encouraging users to spend more to earn lounge vouchers.

3. Axis Bank REWARDS Card Rule Changes

Starting June 20, 2025, Axis Bank will update its REWARDS credit card terms.

Reward points and charges will be based on spending categories (like rent, fuel, wallet load), rather than the old system based on merchant codes.

This will help users better understand which expenses earn rewards.

4. Kotak Mahindra Bank’s New Credit Card Charges

Effective June 1, 2025, Kotak Mahindra Bank is changing various credit card charges, including:

Standing instruction failure

Currency conversion

Payments for utilities, education, online gaming, fuel, and wallet top-ups

There will also be a new method for calculating the Minimum Amount Due, affecting how much you must pay to avoid penalty.

5. Deadline for TDS Certificates

As per income tax rules, you should receive Form 16 and Form 16A—which show TDS (Tax Deducted at Source)—by June 15, 2025.

These forms are important for filing income tax returns and ensuring correct TDS details.

6. Last Date for Free Aadhaar Update

June 14, 2025, is the last day to update your Aadhaar details for free through the myAadhaar portal.

After this date, updates done at Aadhaar centres will incur a service charge.

Make sure to update your address, phone number, or biometric data if needed.

7. IDBI Bank’s Special FD Scheme Deadlines

IDBI Bank is offering high-interest fixed deposits, but the last date for one of the schemes is May 31, 2025, and for others, it’s June 30.
