The Mahindra Thar is well-known in India for its strong off-roading performance.
Its second-generation model was launched five years ago, and now Mahindra has officially introduced the new facelifted Thar.
The new model is priced starting at ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be available in two new colors — Battleship Gray and Tango Red.
Along with these, the existing shades like Galaxy Gray, Stealth Black, Deep Forest, and Everest White will continue to be offered.
The 3-door Thar now comes with a new grille featuring body-color detailing and a fresh gray shade borrowed from the Roxx.
The overall design stays the same, keeping its rugged and classic appeal. In fact, it looks even better than the Roxx in the 3-door style.
Design and Feature Updates
From the outside, the Thar facelift looks almost identical to the previous version, with only small changes:
A new dual-tone bumper
A body-colored grille instead of black
Rear wiper with washer and a rear camera (earlier only seen in the Thar Roxx)
The side profile remains unchanged.
Inside the cabin, Mahindra has added several upgrades:
A new touchscreen display
A new steering wheel
Safety features like a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
The soft-top option has been removed
