LPG Price Hike: Commercial Cylinders Become Costlier from August 1

As of August 1, 2024, the price of LPG cylinders has increased, impacting commercial users.

Oil marketing companies have raised the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders by Rs 8.50.

However, the prices of 14.2 kg domestic cylinders remain unchanged.

These new rates are effective from today, according to the IOCL website.

New Prices for Commercial Cylinders

Oil marketing companies have increased the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders by Rs 8.50.

  • Delhi: Rs 1652.50
  • Kolkata: Rs 1764.50
  • Mumbai: Rs 1605
  • Chennai: Rs 1817

Above are the updated prices.

Unchanged Domestic Cylinder Prices

The price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinders remains the same:

  • Delhi: Rs 803
  • Kolkata: Rs 829
  • Mumbai: Rs 802.50
  • Chennai: Rs 818.50

For general customers in Delhi, the price remains Rs 803, while Ujjwala beneficiaries can purchase it for Rs 603.

Recent Price Changes

July 1: The price of 19 kg commercial cylinders was reduced by Rs 30.

The rates were:

  • Delhi: Rs 1646
  • Kolkata: Rs 1756
  • Mumbai: Rs 1598
  • Chennai: Rs 1809

June 1: The price was reduced by Rs 72.

The rates were:

  • Delhi: Rs 1676
  • Kolkata: Rs 1787
  • Mumbai: Rs 69.50
  • Chennai: Rs 1629

The recent price increase for commercial LPG cylinders comes after the budget announcement,

bringing a slight shock to businesses relying on these cylinders.
