On the first day of the new financial year, consumers woke up to a pleasant surprise as the prices of LPG cylinders witnessed a decline. Here’s the latest update on the LPG cylinder prices:
Reduction in Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices
Oil companies have slashed the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders, providing a sigh of relief to consumers.
The price of the commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by ₹30.50. However, there has been no alteration in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders.
Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices Remain Unchanged
While commercial LPG cylinder prices have been adjusted, there has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders.
The prices stand at ₹803 in Delhi, ₹829 in Kolkata, ₹802.50 in Mumbai, and ₹818.50 in Chennai.
Aviation Fuel Prices Decrease
In addition to the LPG cylinder price revision, oil marketing companies have also reduced the prices of aviation fuel.
Consumers can expect a significant relief, with aviation fuel prices witnessing a drop of approximately ₹502.91/kg.
Regional Price Adjustments
The reduction in LPG cylinder prices varies across regions. In Delhi, the prices have decreased by ₹30.50, while Kolkata witnesses a reduction of ₹32, Mumbai ₹31.50, and Chennai ₹30.50.
Previous Price Changes
In March, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders had surged by ₹25.50 per cylinder. However, there has been no alteration in the price of domestic LPG cylinders during this period.
Impact on Air Travel
The decrease in aviation fuel prices will also translate to cheaper air travel, offering a respite to travelers.
Last month, the price of aviation fuel had increased, but the new rates have come into effect from April 1, offering relief to air travelers.
