The common man is already struggling with inflation, and now there’s more pressure on their finances.
From today, the cost of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders has increased, adding to the household expenses.
The price of these cylinders has gone up by Rs 50, affecting all consumers, including those receiving gas cylinders under the Ujjwala Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana).
These new prices are effective from April 8. Here are the updated LPG cylinder rates in major cities:

Excise Duty on Petrol and Diesel Increases by Rs 2
On Monday, the government increased the excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per liter.
The excise duty on petrol has gone up by Rs 13 per liter, and on diesel by Rs 10 per liter. However, despite this rise in excise duty, retail prices of petrol and diesel will not change.
Commercial Cylinder Prices Drop on April 1
Earlier, on April 1, the government reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 41. The new prices for these cylinders are as follows:
Delhi: Rs 1762
Kolkata: Rs 1868.50
Mumbai: Rs 1713.50
Chennai: Rs 1921.50
