LPG cylinder prices have increased from 7 March, and this has affected both domestic and commercial users. According to reports, the price hike is linked to the Iran–Israel war, which has pushed LPG rates higher.
Domestic LPG consumers now have to pay ₹60 more, while commercial LPG cylinder users are facing a bigger increase of ₹115. Just before Holi, LPG consumers had already experienced a price shock.
At that time, the price of commercial LPG cylinders increased by about ₹50 in several cities from Delhi to Patna.
LPG Prices in Different Cities
In Surat, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has increased and is now ₹1,846.50. The domestic cylinder in the city now costs ₹924.
In Hyderabad, the price of the commercial LPG cylinder has reached ₹2,106.50, while the domestic cylinder now costs ₹965.
In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, the 19 kg blue commercial cylinder has become costlier and now costs ₹2,312.50. The domestic LPG cylinder in the city will now be available for ₹975.

According to data from Indian Oil, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in different cities today is:
Delhi: ₹913
Mumbai: ₹912.50
Kolkata: ₹939
Chennai: ₹928.50

Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices
As per Indian Oil, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi is now ₹1,883. Earlier, it was ₹1,768.50 on March 1 and ₹1,740.50 on February 1.
In Kolkata, the cylinder was priced at ₹1,844.50 in February. It increased to ₹1,875.50 on March 1 and has now reached ₹1,990.
In Mumbai, a commercial cylinder will now cost ₹1,835. Earlier on March 1, the price had increased from ₹1,692 to ₹1,720.
In Chennai, the price of a commercial cylinder has now increased to ₹2,043.50. It was ₹1,929 on March 1, and earlier it was ₹1,899.50.
March Often Brings Price Hikes for LPG
Data from previous years shows that March has often been a month of LPG price increases.
In many cases, commercial cylinders become more expensive during this month, and sometimes domestic cylinder prices also go up, giving consumers a shock.
LPG Price Changes in March 2022
In March 2022, LPG prices were updated twice.
On March 1, the price of commercial cylinders increased by ₹105 to ₹108. After the hike, the prices reached:

Later, on March 22, domestic LPG cylinder prices were increased by ₹50. After this hike, prices became:

In March 2023, LPG prices saw another major increase.
On March 1, the domestic cylinder price increased by ₹50, reaching:

In March 2024, domestic LPG cylinder prices remained unchanged, but commercial cylinder prices saw a small increase.
On March 1, the price of the 19 kg commercial cylinder increased by:

After this increase, the prices became:
