However, if you’re hoping to ride this train soon and enjoy the beauty of Kashmir, you might have to wait.

No Seats Available Till June-End

There’s a huge buzz among passengers for this newly launched train. As of now, all seats are fully booked until June 26. This applies to both directions — from Katra to Srinagar and vice versa.

If you’re planning to travel in late June, there are only a few seats available on June 27 and 28. In July, limited seats are open on the 2nd and 3rd. After that, most dates up to July 23 are already full.

Amarnath Yatra Driving the Rush

The main reason for this heavy booking is the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, which starts on July 3.

Devotees from across the country are choosing the train to reach Katra and Srinagar, causing a sharp rise in ticket demand.

Tough to Get Tickets Right Now

Railway sources reveal that even waiting list tickets are not available until June 18. Officials say it will be very difficult to get confirmed tickets during the yatra season.

So, if you’re planning a Kashmir trip, it’s better to book for a later time, after the rush is over.

Chenab Bridge is a Major Highlight

A big attraction of this route is that the train crosses the world’s highest railway bridge — the Chenab Bridge.

This engineering marvel offers breathtaking views of valleys, snow-covered peaks, and green landscapes, making the journey even more special.

Better to Wait for a Peaceful Ride

A trip on the Vande Bharat from Katra to Srinagar promises to be a memorable experience.

But for now, with heavy bookings and the Amarnath Yatra crowd, waiting a little longer might be the smarter choice.

Once the rush dies down after the summer and yatra season, you’ll be able to enjoy a smooth and scenic journey.
