Life Certificate Must Be Submitted Before March 31

There is hope for relief on one hand, but also the pressure of an important deadline on the other.

Submitting a life certificate is no longer just a routine process, but a mandatory requirement to continue receiving pension payments under social security schemes.

The government has clearly stated that after March 31, only those pensioners who submit their life certificates on time will be able to receive their pension payments.

So far, more than 8.552 million pensioners have completed this important process. However, thousands of beneficiaries are still unaware of this requirement.

If they fail to complete the certification by March 31, their pensions may be stopped from April onwards, which could directly affect their daily lives.

Appeal to Beneficiaries and Verification Process

The Social Welfare Department (Directorate of Social Security) has strongly appealed to beneficiaries of various schemes, including:

Senior Citizens’ Pension

Widow Pension

Disabled Pension

Laxmibai Social Security Pension

to complete the process as soon as possible.

The purpose of this campaign is not just a formality. Its main aim is to make the system transparent, identify fake or deceased beneficiaries, and ensure that financial assistance reaches the rightful people.

How to Complete the Process

Pensioners can visit their nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or Vasudha Kendra to complete the process through biometric verification.

For senior citizens and disabled individuals whose fingerprints are not working, iris scan verification is also available. In case biometric verification fails, physical verification can also be done.

Helpline Number for Assistance

The government has also provided a helpline number: 1800-345-6262, where beneficiaries can get guidance and support.

The important question now is whether the proof of survival will be submitted before March 31, or whether there is a risk of the pension being stopped.
