LIC Mutual Fund Asset Management Limited has launched its first women-centric branch in Delhi. It is the first asset management company in India to open a branch dedicated to encouraging women to invest in mutual funds.
The main aim of this branch is to empower women in their financial journey and increase their participation in investments.
Special Investment Guidance for Women
This branch offers personalised investment advice for women from all backgrounds, including students, homemakers, working professionals, entrepreneurs, and retired women.
The focus is on helping women understand key investment products, processes, and long-term strategies. This support enables them to make informed and confident financial decisions.
Digital Support and Financial Education
The women-centric branch also works as a digital facilitation centre. It helps women use online platforms, mobile apps, and paperless transaction systems. This builds long-term digital confidence among women investors.
Regular awareness programs and investment education sessions will also be organised to improve financial literacy and encourage greater participation in mutual funds.
Strong Growth Potential in South Delhi
South Delhi has around 2,000 active mutual fund distributors (MFDs) and an estimated assets under management (AUM) of about ₹1.30 lakh crore. This shows huge growth potential for the mutual fund industry in the region.
As of December 31, 2025, LIC Mutual Fund’s AUM in South Delhi was ₹200 crore, including equity AUM of ₹175 crore. This highlights significant opportunities for expansion.
South Delhi is considered a high-value investor market due to its strong service sector, industrial presence, rising per capita income, and well-established financial institutions and advisory networks.
