The Jaisalmer-Jaipur-Jaisalmer Leelan Superfast Express (Train No. 12467/12468) will be partially cancelled between Phulera and Jaipur stations from 16 September to 11 October for a total of 19 trips.
According to Jodhpur Division DRM Anurag Tripathi, this cancellation is due to redevelopment work at Jaipur railway station, being carried out by the North Western Railway.
The work involves the launching of columns, girders, and bracing under Phase I and II of building a new air concourse at the station.
During this period, the Leelan Express will run only between Jaisalmer and Phulera, and will not operate between Phulera and Jaipur on these dates:
16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, and 30 September, and daily from 1 to 11 October.
Why This Change Is Necessary
Railway officials explained that this temporary disruption is important to complete technical work on time.
Once completed, the new air concourse at Jaipur station will offer modern and improved passenger facilities, ensuring a more comfortable experience, especially during busy hours.
