KTM India has officially removed the 125 Duke and RC 125 motorcycles from its website, confirming that these models are no longer available for sale.
The decision to discontinue these bikes comes due to low sales. Reports suggest that KTM may soon introduce the 160 Duke and RC 160 as replacements.
125 Duke’s Journey in India
The KTM 125 Duke was first launched in India in 2018, followed by the RC 125 a few years later.
However, with the growing popularity of the 160cc segment, KTM has decided to shift its focus and introduce a 160cc model instead of continuing the 125cc series.
Both the 125 Duke and RC 125 were powered by a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produced 14.3 bhp of power and 12 Nm of torque.
They came with a 6-speed gearbox. Despite these features, the bikes struggled to attract enough buyers, leading to their discontinuation.
2025 KTM 390 Duke – More Power and New Features
KTM has now launched the updated 2025 model of the 390 Duke with new features. The latest version includes cruise control and a new color option called Ebony Black.
The cruise control can be easily adjusted using the updated switchgear located on the left handlebar.
No Change in Engine Performance
The 2025 KTM 390 Duke retains the same engine specifications as its predecessor.
It is powered by a 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates 44.25 bhp of power and 39 Nm of torque.
Previously, the engine size was 373cc, but it was increased to 399cc in the latest generation.
The bike continues to feature a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter.
Advanced Features for a Better Riding Experience
The new KTM 390 Duke is equipped with several high-tech features, including a 5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, launch control,
and track mode, enhancing the overall riding experience. Additionally, it comes with SuperMoto ABS, cornering ABS, quickshifter, and self-canceling indicators.
The bike also features a fully adjustable suspension system, ensuring a smoother ride.
With KTM discontinuing its entry-level models and focusing more on the mid-segment bikes, it remains to be seen whether the upcoming 160 Duke and RC 160 can match the success of their predecessors in the Indian market.
