Kia Carens CNG launched in India

Kia India has launched the Carens with a CNG variant, offering improved mileage and lower running costs. The new Carens CNG is priced at ₹11.77 lakh (ex-showroom).

Price and Availability

The Kia Carens CNG is priced at ₹11.77 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available only in the Premium (O) variant.

In comparison, the petrol Premium (O) version costs ₹10.99 lakh, meaning customers need to pay an additional ₹77,900 for the CNG kit.

However, the CNG kit is not factory-fitted. Instead, it’s installed at the dealer level. The kit is sourced from Lovato, is government-approved,

and comes with a third-party warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 km — giving buyers extra peace of mind.

Engine and Performance

The Carens CNG is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 113 bhp

and 144 Nm of torque in petrol mode. When running on CNG, the power output slightly decreases, but the fuel efficiency improves.

This variant is offered only with a 5-speed manual gearbox and follows the 7-seater layout, ideal for families or large groups.
