Traffic Prahari App: If you live in Delhi and notice someone breaking traffic rules, you can report them using the Traffic Prahari app. If your report is found correct, you may win a reward of up to Rs 50,000 every month.
Delhi Police has relaunched the app so that common people can help improve the traffic system. Let’s see how you can file a complaint and win a reward of up to Rs 50,000 every month.
What is the Traffic Sentinel App?
This app was first launched in 2015 and has now been upgraded with better features. It allows users to report unsafe driving, illegal parking, wrong-side driving, unsafe overtaking, and other rule violations.
All you need to do is take a photo or video of the violation using the app and report it. If your report is verified, you can earn a reward for helping improve road safety.
How to File a Complaint Using the Traffic Prahari App
You can download the app on both Android and iOS devices. After installing it, register using your mobile number and verify it with the OTP. Once done, you can start reporting traffic violations.
To report, take a photo or video of the vehicle where the number plate is clearly visible. The app adds the date, time, and location automatically.
Then upload the photo or video on the app and submit it. The Delhi Traffic Police carefully checks each report. If it’s valid, they issue a challan. To prevent misuse, every complaint goes through a detailed review.
How to Win Monthly Rewards?
The Delhi Traffic Police has created a way for citizens to report traffic violators through the app and get rewarded. But there are rules for getting the reward.
You earn points for each verified report, and your total points decide your rank. The person with the highest rank gets Rs 50,000.
Those in second, third, and fourth place get Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000, and Rs 10,000 respectively.
