Reliance Jio has increased the prices of two of its popular prepaid recharge plans that come with an 84-day validity and include free Netflix subscriptions.
The price hike is ₹300, and these plans also offer unlimited 5G data, calling, and limited free SMS.
The price revision follows a broader increase in rates for all prepaid and postpaid plans that took effect from the beginning of July.
New Prices for Jio’s 84-Day Plans
According to a report by The Hindu, the prices of two specific Jio prepaid plans have been raised:
Plan 1
Previously priced at ₹1,099, this plan now costs ₹1,299. It includes a Netflix Mobile subscription, which is limited to mobile devices and offers content at 480p resolution.
Plan 2
Originally priced at ₹1,499, this plan has now been increased to ₹1,799. It offers a Netflix Basic subscription, which can be used on mobile, laptop, and TV, with content available at 720p resolution.
Benefits of the Updated Plans
Both plans are valid for 84 days and provide the following benefits:
Unlimited Talktime: Users can enjoy unlimited calling throughout the validity period.
Unlimited 5G Connectivity: Offers unlimited 5G data, but availability depends on the user’s location.
Daily Data Limits: The ₹1,299 plan offers 2GB of high-speed data per day, while the ₹1,799 plan provides 3GB daily. Once the daily limit is exhausted, the speed drops to 64Kbps but data remains unlimited.
Free SMS: Both plans include 100 free SMS per day.
With the price increase, Jio continues to offer substantial value, especially with the inclusion of Netflix subscriptions and extensive data benefits, but users will need to adjust to the higher costs for these added perks.
