The lineup will include four models — iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a slimmer version called iPhone 17 Air. All models will run on iOS 26 and be powered by the new A19 Bionic chip.

iPhone 17 Pro Lineup: Camera Upgrades

The iPhone 17 Pro models are likely to get a major camera improvement with a new 48MP telephoto lens, replacing the older 12MP version from the iPhone 16 Pro.

All iPhone 17 models are also rumored to include a 24MP front camera, doubling the resolution from previous models.

Leaks suggest that the Pro models will feature a larger, rectangular camera island on the back, giving them a fresh design.

iPhone 17 Pro Max: Bigger Battery

The iPhone 17 Pro Max could be slightly thicker to make room for a larger battery, expected to be over 5,000 mAh — a first for Apple. This could offer longer battery life.

iPhone 17 Pro Design: Aluminium Frame

Apple might move away from the titanium frame used in the iPhone 15 Pro and 16 Pro. The iPhone 17 Pro series may feature a lightweight aluminium frame with a mix of glass and aluminium on the back, bringing a new design direction.

A19 Pro Chip: Better Efficiency

The iPhone 17 Pro models will be equipped with the A19 Pro chip, made using TSMC’s 3rd-gen 3nm technology. This will likely improve power efficiency and offer a modest performance boost.

New Colour Options

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 Pro models in new colour variants, including a copper-orange shade and dark blue, adding more variety for users.

Increased RAM: 12GB

For the first time, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max may come with 12GB RAM, up from 8GB in the iPhone 16 series.

This boost in memory should enhance multitasking and improve the performance of Apple Intelligence features.

New Cooling System: Vapour Chamber

Apple might introduce a vapour chamber cooling system in the iPhone 17 Pro models to help manage heat more effectively during heavy usage.

Dual Video Recording Feature

Another new feature being considered is dual video recording, which would allow users to record videos using both the front and rear cameras at the same time.

This will likely be part of an updated Camera app.
