Instagram has launched a new feature called Blend, allowing users to create a shared Reels feed with friends.
This feed shows videos based on both users’ interests and watch history. Meta is gradually rolling out this feature worldwide, including in India.
How to Access the Blend Feature
According to Instagram, the Blend feature can be accessed within the Direct Messages (DM) section of the app.
This allows you to create a custom Reels feed with a friend or group chat, which updates daily.
The goal is to provide a more personal and engaging way to watch and react to Reels together.
Steps to Use Instagram Blend
Update Your App: First, make sure your Instagram app is updated.
Open DMs: Go to your Direct Messages and select a friend or group chat.
Tap the Blend Icon: You’ll see a new Blend icon (two hugging emojis) in the chat. Tap it to send an invite.
Create a Shared Feed: Once the invite is accepted, a shared feed is created where both users can watch Reels, react to them, and share content in the chat.

Explore New Content: Blend mixes content from both users, helping you discover new videos outside your usual interests.
Reactions in the Chat: Emoji reactions and comments on Reels will appear in the same chat, making the experience more interactive.
Exclusive to Reels: Currently, the feature is only available for Reels, but it’s expected to expand to other content types soon.

Blend is available for both iOS and Android users, offering a fun, shared experience for watching Reels.
