Infinix launches Note 50x 5G in India

Infinix has introduced its latest smartphone, the Infinix Note 50x 5G, in India. This budget-friendly smartphone features the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor

and runs on Android 15-based XOS 15 UI. It comes with 8GB RAM and is expected to compete with the Vivo T4X in the market.

Specifications of Infinix Note 50x 5G

The Infinix Note 50x 5G sports a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 672 nits (560 nits normal brightness).

The phone supports nine 5G bands and includes an IR blaster for controlling smart devices. However, it lacks NFC and wireless charging features.

For security, the phone is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, and MIL-STD-810H durability certification.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor, an upgraded version of the standard Dimensity 7300 found in budget phones like the Lava Agni 3 and CMF Phone 1.

The smartphone is available in two RAM variants: 6GB and 8GB LPDDR4x, with 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.

It houses a 5500mAh semi-solid state battery, supporting 45W fast charging and 10W reverse wired charging.

For photography, the Infinix Note 50x 5G features a 50MP primary camera along with a depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera.

The device runs on XOS 15 UI based on Android 15, and Infinix has committed to providing two years of OS updates and three years of security patches.

Pricing and Availability

The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Infinix Note 50x 5G is priced at Rs 11,499, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version costs Rs 12,999.

Customers using ICICI Bank credit and debit cards can avail of a Rs 1,000 discount during the first sale, bringing the prices down to Rs 10,499 and Rs 11,999, respectively.

The phone will be available in three colors: Sea Breeze Green (Vegan Leather Finish), Enchanted Purple, and Titanium Gray. The sale begins on April 3, 2025, via Flipkart.

Competition with Vivo T4X

Vivo has recently launched its Vivo T4X smartphone, which could be a strong competitor to the Infinix Note 50x 5G.

The Vivo T4X is available in Pronto Purple and Marine Blue color options. The base variant is priced at Rs 13,999, while the top variant costs Rs 16,999.

The Vivo T4X features a 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,050 nits peak brightness.

It comes with 6GB and 8GB RAM options and offers storage variants of 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1.

The phone supports dual SIM functionality and runs on Android 15-based Vivo FuntouchOS 15. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

In terms of cameras, the Vivo T4X has a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4 aperture) that supports 4K video recording.

The front houses an 8MP selfie camera (f/2.05 aperture). It is powered by a massive 6500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.

With its competitive pricing and features, the Infinix Note 50x 5G is expected to be a strong rival to the Vivo T4X in the budget smartphone segment.
