Passengers planning to travel from Indore to Delhi between January 21 and January 26 should be prepared for possible disruptions.
Flight operations at Delhi Airport will be affected due to preparations for the Republic Day air show.
Here’s what travelers need to know before finalizing their plans.
Temporary Flight Suspension at Delhi Airport
Delhi Airport will remain partially closed for a few hours each day from January 21 to January 26.
During this period, no flights will operate between 10:20 am and 12:45 pm.
Airport authorities have issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to inform all airlines about the temporary suspension of flight operations.
This step has been taken to ensure safety during Republic Day parade rehearsals and the air show.
Air India Cancels Afternoon Flights
Due to the flight ban, Air India has canceled its afternoon flight between Indore and Delhi for these dates.
This flight usually arrives in Indore at 12:10 pm and departs for Delhi at 12:40 pm.
At present, the return flight from Indore to Delhi has been officially canceled.
The arrival flight from Delhi to Indore is also likely to be canceled soon, which could further impact passengers.
Bookings Removed From Airline Website
Air India has already removed bookings for these afternoon flights from its website between January 21 and 26.
Passengers may also face additional cancellations in the coming days.
On regular days, six flights operated by Air India and Air India Express run on the Indore–Delhi route.
However, on January 25 and 26, only two flights are available for booking.
This means four flights per day are expected to be canceled.
More Cancellations May Follow
There is also a possibility that IndiGo may cancel some of its flights during this period.
If that happens, travel disruptions could increase further.
Passengers are advised to check flight status regularly and plan their travel accordingly to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
