Following the recent conflict between India and Pakistan and the subsequent ceasefire, the situation in the country is slowly returning to normal.
In this context, IndiGo has announced that it will gradually resume regular scheduled flights from six airports, including Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar, and Rajkot, starting Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
IndiGo Announcement
IndiGo shared the news on its official social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.
The airline confirmed that flights would begin with full coordination and safety measures to ensure passenger safety and uninterrupted travel.
IndiGo’s post read, “Scheduled operations to Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar, and Rajkot will gradually resume from May 14.”
32 Airports Temporarily Closed
These six airports were part of a list of 32 airports that had been temporarily closed due to security concerns arising from the India-Pakistan tensions.
The government reopened these airports for civilian flights on Monday.
Air India and SpiceJet Updates
Sources indicate that both Air India and SpiceJet have also started restoring their flight services.
On Tuesday, Air India and SpiceJet operated flights to Srinagar, while Air India Express resumed services to Jammu.
SpiceJet officials mentioned that they would soon restart flights from other reopened airports as well.
