IndiGo has temporarily suspended flights to seven Middle Eastern destinations — Doha, Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah — until March 28, 2026.
This is part of a network realignment in the region due to ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
Since February 28, several domestic airlines have paused operations to multiple West Asian cities following US-Israel strikes on Iran and subsequent Iranian retaliatory attacks.
Limited Operations Continue
Despite the suspension, IndiGo will operate 252 weekly flights to and from West Asia between March 16 and March 28. This includes:
Saudi Arabia: 126 weekly flights (Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah)
Oman: 28 weekly flights (Muscat)
UAE: 98 weekly flights (Dubai, Abu Dhabi)
The airline says these measures ensure safe and reliable operations while maintaining essential connectivity.
Assistance for Passengers
IndiGo assures passengers that:
One-stop access to multiple Indian cities and onward destinations will continue.
Additional ad hoc flights can be arranged for stranded passengers if necessary.
The airline is coordinating with authorities to adjust operations as the situation evolves.
Passengers are advised to check IndiGo’s website and social media for real-time flight updates and travel advisories before planning their trips.
