IndiGo Airlines has announced that it will start daily direct flights from Mumbai to Medina, Saudi Arabia, beginning November 15, 2025.
The airline will operate these flights using its Airbus A320 aircraft. This new route aims to support religious travel, business trips, and tourism.
Bookings for the Mumbai-Medina flights have already started and can be made via IndiGo’s official website (www.goIndiGo.in)
mobile app, and authorized travel partners. Currently, IndiGo operates over 150 flights between India and four major Saudi cities—Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Medina.
With this new Mumbai-Medina route, IndiGo becomes the first Indian airline to offer direct flights between these two cities.
Daily Flights from Hyderabad to Medina
IndiGo also plans to make its weekly Hyderabad-Medina flights daily starting November 16, 2025.
This decision comes as religious tourism, business travel, and workforce movement between India and Saudi Arabia are increasing.
Vinay Malhotra, IndiGo’s Head of Sales, said, “Medina is a city of deep cultural and spiritual significance for pilgrims worldwide.
The number of passengers traveling from India is continuously rising.”
He added that launching direct flights from Mumbai to Medina will give passengers a more convenient and better travel option, strengthening IndiGo’s international network.
