In celebration of its 18th anniversary, IndiGo has announced significant updates for its customers.
The airline is set to offer business class seats on 12 domestic routes starting November this year.
Bookings for these business class seats will commence from Tuesday.
IndiGo’s CEO, Peter Albers, highlighted that these seats will be available on some of the busiest and most commercially significant routes in the country.
Blue Chip Loyalty Program Launched
Alongside the introduction of business class, IndiGo has also unveiled the Blue Chip loyalty program, known as IndiGo BluChip, for its customers.
This new program aims to enhance the travel experience by offering various benefits and rewards to loyal passengers.
Expansion of International Routes
IndiGo has further announced the addition of seven new international routes within the current financial year.
Currently operating over 2000 flights daily, the airline serves 33 international routes and 120 domestic destinations.
With the new launches, IndiGo will expand its network to over 40 international destinations.
Fleet Expansion and Market Share
IndiGo boasts a significant domestic market share of approximately 61% and has an impressive order of around 975 aircraft.
By the end of June, the airline’s fleet included 382 aircraft, with 18 on wet lease.
The airline is set to receive A321 XLR aircraft in 2025 and wide-body A350 aircraft in 2027.
